MAYOR HAHN WELCOMES ENDORSEMENT OF LAUSD BOARD MEMBER MIKE LANSING

Los Angeles – Mayor Jim Hahn today welcomed the endorsement of Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Board Member Mike Lansing. Lansing is the board’s Facilities Committee Chairman and represents schools in the communities of San Pedro, Wilmington, Harbor City/Harbor Gateway, Watts, and Central Los Angeles.
“Mayor Jim Hahn has worked with LAUSD to build schools more quickly to help relieve overcrowding,” Lansing said. “He’s creating a safer learning environment for students and teachers by reducing crime in our communities and expanding access to after school programs. That’s why I believe Mayor Hahn’s re-election is the right choice for Los Angeles students and their families.”
“I appreciate Mike’s support and am committed to working with the school district to build new schools and provide our children with a safe place to learn,” Mayor Hahn said. “As Mayor and as a father of two kids in public school, I want to continue to help LAUSD build new schools and expand educational opportunities for Los Angeles students.”
