HAHN RECEIVES LABORERS LOCAL 777 ENDORSEMENT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mayor Jim Hahn announced today that he has received the endorsement of the Laborers International Union of North America Local 777, which represents 9,000 working men and women.  At a meeting last night, the Laborers Local 777 voted to support the Southern California District Council of Laborers’ decision to endorse Mayor Hahn’s re-election.

“We strongly stand behind Mayor Hahn, and this vote shows how energized and ready our members are to walk precincts and make phone calls to get out the vote for his re-election,” said Laborers Local 777 Business Manager Fred Lowe.  “Mayor Hahn has delivered for Los Angeles’ working families.  Under his leadership, Los Angeles has become a safer city and a better place to work and raise a family.”

“I am honored to have the support of the Laborers Local 777,” said Mayor Hahn.  “We’ve been working together to make Los Angeles a great city and I look forward to partnering with the Laborers for another four years.”

The Laborers Local 777 joins a growing number of labor organizations that are supporting Mayor Hahn’s re-election, including the Service Employees International Union locals in Los Angeles, United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 770, Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters, Ironworkers Local 433, the United Firefighters of Los Angeles City and the Southern California Pipe Trades.
