MAYOR HAHN WINS COUNTY FEDERATION OF LABOR ENDORSEMENT

For Immediate Release

Los Angeles – The Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, representing more than 800,000 working men and women, today endorsed Mayor Hahn's re-election.

"I am honored to have the support of the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor.  The County Federation's 800,000 members know that my work to lower crime, build housing and improve our schools and streets creates jobs, and that I'm going to make sure Los Angeles stays on track over the next four years," Mayor Hahn said.  "Los Angeles has turned the corner.  Violent crime is down 18 percent, housing production has doubled and we've created tens of thousands of jobs.  With the support of the 800,000 working men and women of the County Federation of Labor, we're going to continue this momentum over the next four years."

"Mayor Hahn has repeatedly stood with L.A. working families when it really mattered," said Miguel Contreras, the Federation's Executive Secretary-Treasurer.

The 107-year-old Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO, comprises 350 local unions and more than 800,000 union members.
