CONGRESSWOMAN LINDA SANCHEZ ENDORSES HAHN

Mayor Jim Hahn today announced that he has received the endorsement of Congresswoman Linda Sanchez.
"Mayor Hahn has delivered on the issues that affect our communities the most," Congresswoman Sanchez said. "I am endorsing Mayor Hahn because he has the commitment and proven leadership to keep bringing jobs, housing and educational opportunity to every Los Angeles neighborhood."
"I'm proud that Congresswoman Sanchez is partnering with me to make sure we will continue to lower crime, create jobs and build housing in every Los Angeles neighborhood over the next four years," Mayor Hahn said. "I am honored to have Congresswoman Sanchez's endorsement."
Congresswoman Sanchez represents California's 39th Congressional District, which includes parts of South Los Angeles including Watts.
She has secured for her district significant federal funding for air and water quality programs, after school programs, and increased public safety, including funding for the Gang Alternatives Program (GAP) for schools throughout Southeast Los Angeles.
Her voting record in Congress has received the highest marks from the Alliance for Retired Americans, for her record on fighting to protect Social Security and Medicare, and from the League of Conservation Voters.
Congresswoman Sanchez is a graduate of the University of California,
Berkeley, and received her law degree from U.C.L.A.
