As an environmental scientist working to clean up some of California's most polluted lands -- including schools -- I know the appalling dangers of a system which protects corporate profit and waste over a healthy environment. I advocate pollution prevention and a return to enforcement of our clean air and clean water laws. We need a healthy environment for our cities, our state, and our politics. My campaign emphasizes urban quality, investment in education, universal health care and environmental protection.

I support campaign finance reform, including public financing of campaigns, equal access to the media for all candidates and taking corporate money out of politics.

I support managed growth with less traffic and less air pollution, which is healthier for all of us. If you've ever been stuck on LA freeways or streets, you know that traffic is bad for your nervous system!

I advocate local control of our economies and believe that stimulating small business will bring long-term sustainable economic development. I am pro-choice and insist that women receive equal pay for equal work.

I will encourage organic farming and green technology. I am committed to a politics of hope, which recognizes that ecological sustainability is the foundation of a strong economy and peaceful world. On November 7th when you go to the polls, if you are tired of politics as usual and want someone who is honest and experienced, vote for me. Together, we can make our government once again work for all Californians.
